Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit will require a notice of appearance for coverage attorneys.

Is your firm planning on hiring a coverage attorney to specially appear for cases in Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit? Take note, the Eighth Judicial Circuit will now require your firm to file a notice of appearance on behalf of the coverage attorney. If a notice of appearance is not filed by your firm prior to the hearing, the court will not recognize the coverage attorney as representing your client.

Beginning July 1, 2015, a notice of appearance as co-counsel will be required in the Florida counties of Alachua, Baker, Gilchrist, Bradford, Levy and Union. Avoid an adverse hearing outcome. Review Administrative Order NO. 5.11 here.
